New Presidential Candidate?

March 11, 2007

Today on Fox News Sunday, former Senator and actor Fred Thompson announced he is considering a run for president. Given the current field of Republican candidates, I believe Thompson would be an instant hit among conservatives. Many of Thompson’s positions are right in line with the base of the conservative movement. will we soon add Mr. Thompson to the Presidential poll? How do you feel about a possible Thompson candidate?

Liberal Hate Speech

March 6, 2007

There is a lot of “holier than Thou” talk from the left right now and it really bugs me.  Even one of the commenters in the “Ditch Coulter” post was spouting crap like that.  Like I wrote in that original post comments like Coulter’s are not exclusive to the conservatives…liberals have way more than their fair share of hateful comments, MUCH MUCH worse than what Coulter said.  The difference between liberals and conservatives is the conservatives have overwhelmingly denounced Coulter’s remarks…there has been silence from the left when their own people have made worse comments.  Here is a great post from Patterico that details several examples of the hate speech the left is ever so good at.

Obama out of touch

March 4, 2007

I may be splitting hairs here, but the way Barak Obama delivered this statement speaks to the type of president he would be if elected.

For telethons and other charity events people often say, “If everyone could give just $1, or $5 it would help…”, but Obama is acting like a parent talking to his children.  Like he knows he will spend your money, better than you will spend your money.  Like he knows where money is best spent, but you don’t.  Typical liberal!!

If I had any intention of voting for that guy, I would have walked right out when he said that.  Obviously, he doesn’t understand that yes indeed, you can be poor enough where you can’t afford to give up five dollars.  I’ve been in that situation.  And quite honestly, if I was that poor, but still willing to give up my last five dollars, I’d put it in the collection plate at church rather than give it to a political campaign.

His arrogance, and controlling nature really shined through here…and it only took seven seconds for him to do it.

Presidential Straw Poll

February 21, 2007

I recently added a new widget that allows you to vote for the your favorite presidential candidate on my personal blog, because this site does not support html.  Click the link here and you will notice the widget in the right hand column.  You can vote for one Republican and one Democrat, and you can vote once weekly.  Check it out and voice your opinion!

I want to take their profits

February 5, 2007

Those were the words of Mrs. Bill Clinton when she was addressing the Democratic National Committee in Baltimore this past Friday.  Apparently, Mrs. Clinton feels companies are only allowed to be profitable to a certain extent, before she starts planning out what she feels are better ways to spend those profits, and confiscate them.

“I want to take those profits and put them into an alternative energy fund that will begin to fund alternative smart energy alternatives that will actually begin to move us toward the direction of independence.”

What is bothersome is that there are really people out there that would vote for her for president, because of statements like this.  What I think is more appropriate is if we take all of the excess money Hillary and Bill have and start funding alternative smart energy with their money.  Then I would like to raid all of the unions in the country and take all of their acquired union dues and spend that on alternative smart energy.   Then I would like to go to all of the movie studios and actors and actresses and take all of their excess money and spend it on alternative smart energy.  Then I would like to go to all of the environmental agencies that fund junk science and take their money and spend it on alternative smart energy instead.

We have a great nation, with a great capitalist system, and they will invest their own money on research and development projects that projected to be feasible, and profitable.  To think the bloated government will spend any of our money better than we can, is just stupid…plain and simple.
